Health & Wellness Fair
Progress is definitely being made on our Spring Health Fair. Actually, the name will be Health and Wellness Fair with a tag line: for mind, body, spirit & home. Exhibitors for the fair is open to all GSDBA members if they can tie their booth theme to our tag line, so contractors, business specialists, etc.; the range is open to people with imagination.
We are currently looking into a location and date for the fair. We decided the fair would get a much bigger turnout if it was held on a Saturday. Sue is looking into this for us. We need more volunteers to help with the preparation as well as setup and take down.
We are using the categories in the GSDBA directory as a guide and only two businesses within the same category will be allowed. The time frame will be a Saturday in May.
Stay tuned for more information to come. Better yet, come to our next meeting to get it first hand.
Our next Health Affinity Group meeting is tomorrow, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m.

I'll be at the regular Health Affinity Group meeting Tuesday, January 18, 2011. I sure hope Bruce Calkins, Jeff Underwood, Harry Heeder, David Powell, Jeff Anderson, Akemi Rogers and others are all there too!

We recently sent a survey to poll the GSDBA membership's interest in participating in a Health Fair. Unfortunately, there was not enough interest to warrant the expense. Perhaps our timing is not right, but we will table this project to another time when we can generate more interest. I'd like to thank everyone who provided their time, energy and opinions. Your participation and encouragement is greatly appreciated. Let's see how we can rally our group to assist, encourage, and grow our businesses. I look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
