Young Professionals Affinity Group Information

The GSDBA has launched the Young Professionals Affinity group to help groom and foster the next generation of young professionals into seasoned and mature leaders who are looked at to take the organization or department to the next level.

Come network with other professionals and find out how they turned themselves into a respected professional in their organization.   Set yourself apart from others in your organization and earn that promotion or company recognition that you deserve.

Some of the topics to be explored at the group meetings:
-How to turn yourself from a young professional into a mature professional
-How to have a conversation with or present an idea to the CEO of a large corporation

Free To All GSDBA Members

The Affinity for Business Groups program is designed to provide professional development for members in the same or related professions.  The focus is to support one another within a specific professional field and to help participants bring their businesses to a new level.  The groups meet once a month.  The format of each group is decided by the group and includes significant time for the exchange of ideas and information.  Groups include guest speakers and/or group member presentations on topics of interest.  Affinity Groups are free to GSDBA members.

Young Professionals... 2 Replies

Just one question, how young do you have to be to join this group? For many, 40+ is not considered Young Professionals anymore :(Continue

I'll always be a kid at heart so I guess that counts, right? :)

Jimmy, you look so young! Welcome.

The fact that someone thought I was still in the "young" category is very cute and I'll gladly accept the invitation - LOL ;-)

@Jeffrey: There were five of us who met to get this group up and running, and we decided not to put a number on it. We did that for a few really good reasons. We'll discuss this more at the first meeting. Anyone who considers himself/herself a Young Professional is welcome to attend :D

i can really care less about age though - but pick a number I guess? This group is suppose to be about "young professionals" right?? or wrong?  Either way, George Carlin is funny.  See link I posted below.

The age limit should be 35. :P  Why call it a young professionals group if there is no age limit?  It's hard to talk about building an internet marketing strategy with people who don't even use outlook to manage contacts because they prefer their "contact book."

Well hello Ms Teeple!  Great question on the age limitation....the answer is no.  Come young, come old.  My thought is we're all young at heart:)  Look forward to seeing you there!

I am intrigued, but I have to wonder if there's an age limit for the "young" part of this group. :-)
