GSDBA Volunteer Committees
To promote its effectiveness, GSDBA requires committees to determine specific goals and objectives, monitor progress, and report to the Board on their accomplishments. The authority for these provisions rests with the Board and all committee members are volunteers. Dates, times, and meeting locations subject to change. Please contact the Committee Chair prior to attending a meeting for the first time.
Executive Committee
Purpose: To oversee the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan by furthering the mission, goals, and activities of the GSDBA. Chaired by the Board Chair and consists of all officers and the immediate Past Board Chair if he or she is on the Board.

ADVOCACY COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: To attain full business equality for GSDBA members and for LGBT persons by publicly advocating GSDBA’s public policy priorities, identifying appropriate advocacy actions, and vetting outside requests for advocacy by GSDBA.

AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Create and maintain a volunteer base for the organization to staff mixers and other events. Welcome new members and assist them in making connections within GSDBA.

Meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 8:00am at Monica's at the Park, 1735 Adams Avenue
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Develops and delivers services that support the growth and success of members’ businesses. Services could be programs such as seminars, consulting services, mentoring, expos or any program that meets real needs of member businesses and adds value to their membership in GSDBA. Promotes, governs and evaluates the Affinity for Business Groups Program.

BUSINESS NETWORKING GROUPS COMMITTEE
Purpose: Oversees a structured forum for facilitators of the Business Networking Groups (BNGs) to insure that BNGs provide a productive networking environment for the support and growth of member businesses.

CORPORATE RELATIONS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: The mission of the Corporate Relations Development Committee (CRDC) is to implement a strategy to procure sponsors and build long term relationships with them.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
Purpose: Oversees the finances of the organization, reviews budgets for each class and prepares the annual organization budget. Chaired by the Treasurer.
Chair: Rebecca Luers
EVENTS COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: This committee plans all mixers and general meetings such as lunches and dinners and generates activities encouraging networking opportunities for members, as well as encourages social interaction among the membership.
