How Membership Works for You

Affiliations

• All GSDBA members are automatically members of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) with access to financial support, business advocacy and contract opportunities.  If your business listing appears in this Directory, it will not only be posted for a year on the GSDBA web site, but also on the NGLCC site.
• GSDBA is a Community Partner with the Small Business Administration; membership includes special access to SBA programs and to SCORE.

Advertising

• The Directory, with a circulation of 30,000, is distributed at large community events and 120 locations which are replenished monthly.
• Place an ad or an insert in the Community Connection newsletter.
• Web site member presence and ad opportunities continue to grow.
  GSDBA is your entrée to the growing San Diego LGBT market.

Networking

• Join one of the seven powerful and successful Business Networking Groups (BNGs) that meet weekly to work for group businesses.
• Increase your visibility while supporting GSDBA by bringing your skills and enthusiasm to one of the Association committees including Membership, Programs, Ambassadors, Corporate Outreach and Business Development.
• Be a Corporate Partner or an Event Sponsor and reap the benefits of supporting the work of GSDBA and receiving extensive promotion and visibility for your business.
• If you know anything about GSDBA, you know members love to socialize and network at monthly mixers that draw 200+ enthusiastic business owners and professionals.

Membership Levels

General Member
Dues are $250 the first year and $220 each year thereafter. General membership is for one person in a company. If others in the same company wish to be members, they must purchase additional General Memberships or become Associate Members. General Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA including Voting Rights for Association Business. Complete a Membership Application.

Associate Member
Dues are $100 the first year and each year thereafter. An Associate Member must be sponsored by an existing General Member within the same company.  Associate Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA except for Voting Rights for Association Business. Complete a Membership Application.

Non-Profit Member
Dues are $100 the first year and each year thereafter.  Non-Profit Members must provide evidence of 501(c)(3) status.  Non-Profit Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA including Voting Rights for Association Business. Complete a Membership Application.

Retiree Member
Dues are $75 the first year and each year thereafter. Retiree Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA except Voting Rights for Association Business and a free new member listing in the GSDBA Directory. Complete a Membership Application.

Student Member
Dues are $75 the first year and each year thereafter. Student Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA except Voting Rights for Association Business and a free new member listing in the GSDBA Directory. Complete a Membership Application.

Friend of GSDBA Member
Dues are $75 the first year and each year thereafter. Friend of GSDBA members are those who do not fit into any other available category of membership, but who want to participate and support GSDBA.  Friend of GSDBA Members are entitled to all the benefits of the GSDBA except Voting Rights for Association Business and a free new member listing in the GSDBA Directory. Complete a Membership Application.
