Sustain Community Acupuncture in the North Park Neighborhood of San Diego, California is a community-oriented, full-service wellness center with a focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We are proud to offer Low Cost Community Acupuncture and an Extensive Herbal Pharmacy featuring hundreds of time-proven Chinese herbal formulas.

Our clinical success is due to the unique style of acupuncture we practice and the healing environment provided in our modern facilities and Acupuncture Lounge.

Acupuncture Therapy: At Sustain Community Acupuncture, we use a pain free method of acupuncture that is both deeply relaxing and highly effective in treating most conditions. While most acupuncture clinics use a method where needles are applied directly into the area of pain, this approach runs the risk of aggravating the condition and there are often inconsistent results.

The Master Practitioners at the clinic use an optimal selection of points on the scalp and ears and from the knees to the foot and from the elbows to the hands. Because of this method, the patient never needs to undress and are able to stay comfortable and relaxed throughout these highly effective treatments.

The Acupuncture Lounge: When you visit us, you will be treated alongside other patients in a comfortable lounge setting, rather than in a private room. This allows your acupuncturist to stay in the room with you and also creates a sense of collective healing. Comfortable reclining lounge chairs, ambient spa sounds and relaxing music create an environment where patients can find deep relaxation and inner harmony.

A separate intake room is always available for those who wish to discuss their medical issues with additional privacy.

Massage Therapy: Our skilled practitioners specialize in therapeutic bodywork styles such as circulatory, sports/deep tissue, Thai yoga, shiatsu, reflexology and tui na–all at a competitive price. We are also able to offer therapeutic Chinese medical techniques such as gua sha (scraping) and cupping, which are excellent for chronic pain, impaired circulation and toxic conditions.
