The theme this year is: “Celebrating Excellence.” Award categories and winners are as follows:
Business of the Year: Abbas, Jenson & Cundari, CPAs.
For more than 19 years, the team (Tom, Rulon and Chris) have served hundreds of LGBT individuals and organizations with expert tax advice in an accurate and professional manner. Clients rave about their caring personal attention.
Non-Profit of the Year: San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus.
After merging two choruses into one, SDGMC successfully eliminated debt and significantly raised membership in the face of a floundering economy. The Chorus achieved its goals expeditiously while producing important choral works to uplift and entertain the community at large.
Community Leadership: Metropolitan Community Church of San Diego.
A mainstay place of worship in the LGBT community, MCC has kept its doors open for people of all faiths, creating a welcoming and accepting environment that adheres to the mission of “bringing people closer to God and one another.” Reverend Dan Koeshall personifies the teachings in this open and affirming church.
Emerging Business: Belladia Marketing & Design.
Owners Jessy Sauchuk and Lisa Smith provide highly creative branding materials for small businesses and individuals through logos, ads and web designs. Over the past year, Belladia has dedicated time and money to charities including PFLAG, Townspeople, Kiva, Lambda Archives, TriROK, and San Diego Pride among others.
Corporate Partner: Park Manor Suites.
Ed Delehanty and his friendly, professional staff have consistently hosted the LGBT and business community at this historic property for many years. The venue has become a destination for mixers, dinners and special events year-round, thanks to the generosity of the hotel’s team.

Since forming the real estate company in 2005, Penny Nathan and Ken Pecus have cultivated a cutting-edge work environment that adheres to diversity and ethical work practices. The LGBT-friendly firm has guided scores of clients through the property market, and employs some of the top agents in the nation.
The GSDBA was founded in 1979 and embodies 800 members comprised of entrepreneurs and small and large companies.
